front fog/driving lamps fitted to my Bongo with wires along behind the grilleb but then dont seem to go anywhere lights do not work - question should they be wired to the rear fog lamp switch - just for foggy weather or fitted to another switch to be on with dipped beam - does this need a relay? how do you get this switches out of the dash to check wireing?
I await your replies by the bucketfull as I have asked quite a lot here.
cheers in advance.

Hi
If your avatar is your Bongo, they are foglights and must NOT be wired in to the dipped beam circuit - they should have a switch of their own. It is illegal to use foglights when visibility is more than 100metres, so wiring them into the dipped circuit means you'll have them on all the time your headlamps are on.

hi aitch if you look just to the right of your steering wheel there should be 2 blanks if you have no fog light switches fitted , if you use the one nearest to the steering wheel thats the one for front fog lights all you should have to do is put a switch in the white plug and wire them up from the dangilly plugs under your front bumper providing you have them under there hope this helps

I think you are supposed to have separate switches for front and rear fogs.

hi aitch do take the cover off from around speedo which is all you need to do under the steering wheel will be a adjuster for the steering wheel
1, tilt the steering wheel down as far as you can
2, undo i think 4 screws maybe 5 around speedo casing and remove
3, eh presto your white block
just test with electric screwdriver if live when lights on then can use it

Hi Aitch, Are they original mazda fogs fitted? (i can't quite tell from your avatar) If not, your guess is as good as anybodies as to how/if they have been wired
If there is no white block evident, please dont be tempted to wire the fronts to the rears, this will overload the switch, despite the rear fog being covered by a relay
