hi all got my mot next sunday and my garage has asked me to try and find out the weight of my bongo its a aft which would make it heavier as well

so can anyone help me with this ??????????

he beat me to the answer - but why do they want to know the weight of the vehicle? mine went through a MOT without any questions of weight?

I suspect it's something to do with braking efficiency on an unknown model - I had to tell the tester the weight of a kit car I built years ago.

That explaines it then I take mine to a MOT station where one of the mechnics owns a Bongo so no questions for me to answer as he knows the vehicle and the chap who did my mot used to do sva!!! or whatever they are called on imported vehicles. It passed and I just got an advisory notice on the tryes as they are not quite man enough for the job - 96H fitted recomened 100H when I replace them. Next year hopefully as they are lasting well!!!!!

hi aitch & francophile 1947 you got it correct i took my bongo for test last year and he put the weight the same as a zafira but asked if this year i could find the real weight as not listed anywhere for bongo on his chart
so a big thanks to all you guys for info just hope now brakes upto the job

cheers aitch its in next sun at 8am flew through last year having handbrake adjusted tommorrow and a once over check

be sure to take it for a good drive before taking it in - high revs and burn out all the s*** so the readings are alright for the emissions - good luck fingers crossed for you.

I can't remember if you replaced your spacesaver??? Leave it at home if you didn't... :?
