Only one seat on long runners

Ok, OK, I know there's a ton of information on the forums about removing the seats, but no matter how hard I look, I can't find the answer to my question, so here goes:

I'm not yet a proud Bongo owner, but it's only a matter of time, and I'm plumping for a bongo with long runners+2 bench seats. But, I'm thinking of removing one of the bench seats to give more room. My question is, if I do this, will the seat left in the van be able to move ALL the way forward, and ALL the way back, and still locks in place as either a middle or rear seat, and can be then used with either the middle or rear set of set beats? Is there anything that stops this? Is there any actual difference between the seats?

Thanks for your patience, it's all terribly exciting this bongo stuff...

If you have the long runners then the only thing stopping the seat moving over its entire length is a manual overide on the drivers side runner. If you only had one seat then you could remove this very quickly. The remaining seat would then lock in all the available positions along the entire length of the rails.

To make use of the full length of the track, once you've unbolted the seat, you should also remove the sliding mechanism which can be removed by undoing the end stops at the rear of the van. The front & rear bench seats are interchangeable, but one is split 60/40 & this usually fitted at the front.
