Help!
I need to fit a new alternator. Is this fairly easy to do?

Yeah its easy enough - search for alternator threads. There are two bolts to undo - the main lower pivot one and the adjuster at the top - then the mains cable under a rubber hood and the plastic plug for electrics. prob best to do bolts last though thinking about it

One tip DONT FORGET to disconnect the battery under the bonnet before you remove and refit otherwise you will blow the main fuse if you earth the mains or worse.

Try Bongobits - not an exact copy and does obscure the dipstick a bit but apparently other than that pumps out more elecky - Alans of Plymouth try them and there are reconditioned ones too or get yours reconditioned.

PM me if you need any more advice I did mine about a month ago - so far ok fingers crossed.
