If you have a whine that sound's for all the world like the front diff,
we had one, it started about 45 but was not that loud then got suddenly
quit loud at 55 mph, by 60 it was gone, it was quit annoying at 55,
changed the front tyres and it was gone at all speeds.

I found gaffa tape around the passenger's mouth cured mine.............

Keep an eye on the new tyres for "blockin" Ralph. This is what causes the whine and is an early indication of viscous coupling problems.

Will keep a eye on it everything feels ok after
a bit of pulling pushing and turning, you would
think that after the low mileage that most Bongo,s
seem to have done mechanical failure would be
more or less unheard of.

My only failure's in 20 odd years have been 2
batteries and a throttle cable and my last 2 cars
did over 180,000 miles each just lucky I suppose.

My V-strom as a similar whine from the front
tyre but it's to be expected from a dual purpose
tyre.
