Aircon / Climate control not coming out of correct place

Hi All,

I seem to have a problem with my Climate control in the front. It does get cold and works well but I noticed today that the air does not get directed to the vents in the dashboard. I can get me feet cold or the windscreen but not the cabin. Seems the same whether manually selected or on Auto.

Is there anything easy to check ?

I think there was something on here before about it, being the flap under the dash having a wire which pulls the flaps come off, I think you have to contort underneath the dash to see it as it is by the feet on the drivers side and gets kicked. Hope this was right good luck, I have no doubt someone will come up trumps soon. Happy motoring.

If you look by the drivers left footrest you will see some plastic arms that are operated by connecting metal rods. They sometimes slip out of position. Easy fix

Hi haydn callow, finally got round to looking at the aircon/heater issue. Cant believe I have been putting it off because 30 seconds after opening the drivers door, the connecting rods were put back in place and all now works.

Thanks for the advice :D

Nice to be able to help. Thats what this forum is all about.
Had another report of a coolant alarm going off over the weekend and it was a pinprick hole in the metal pipe that the "bleed" tube fits onto.
You Know it Makes Sense !!! 110 kits fitted to date...4x positive feedbacks of alarms saving the day.
