Only had my bongo for the last few weeks, after our hols were trying to work out if the rear side windows are supposed to open or not? they look like they have parts to make it open like the middle side ones do but the latch looking part will not open.

Dont worry, mine's the same. Maybe they opened in some markets but not others?

Apparently there was some confusion over the SVA test and what is and isn't allowed. This led to some dealers/importers removing or disabling the offside window latch on the rear window. Mine opens. The nearside one is fixed, presumably so that if open it doesn't get inadvertantly smashed by the sliding door.

mmm, never tried the nearside actually as the latch is in the wardrobe, will look at that tonight.

Mine is the same as Ian's... the window would foul the sliding side door when its opened, the opposite rear window opens, but the latch is a little tight, are you sure its not just stiff?

The rear window on the nearside is not meant to open., so it won't foul the sliding door. So nobody's should open, unless it is broken or been modified!
It has a similar looking catch at the back - but it is not in fact a catch you can open like the others.

Its the same scenario as that wide arched bodykit you can buy for a bongo... Looks great on,but how do you open the sliding door
