If you have an idea of what size it is I`d try your local cycle shop as they usually sell them in small bags in various sizes.

The size you need is 1 1/8, they sell them in cycle shops for the peddles
I have some if you get in trouble, let me know

Of course, if you had read my original post then factsheet on the subject of changing the aerial there is no way you could have lost your balls!

Pippin,I got a new aerial before I brought my Bongo over to France. When I got the Bongo it was broken in half.I found your post (avid reader) and got round to doing it today, old duvet on the gravel drive, just in case.
Well I didnt lose my balls (luckily) and the job was soon done, incidentally I dont listen to the radio much, prefer cd,s but the broken one looked dreadful.
Point is, now I know why they call Japanese inscrutable, what a clever but simple design.never seen anything like it before but three positions is perfect, although think I would be reluctant to use the highest, bit of brain fade entering the car park and bang, another £30 up the chute!!

I chopped my broken aerial down to the solid brass part about 30mm from the swivel and screwed on a Ford Escort aerial from the scrappies - £3 - job done.

No problem going under anything
forwards, the aerial just clicks down into a lower position.
But just don't reverse under anything low with the aerial up...
