Securing AFT

Hi Have recently bought bongo privately. The raising roof is separating from the tent. The tent appears to be secured using philips screw/bolts into plastic plugs that are set into preformed holes in the plastic roof. The problem we are having is the plugs have come loose from the plastic and have popped with the screws still attached. Is it just a matter of super glueing them back into their holes or will this damage the plastic? Any advice please, is there a more suitable adhesive or method? We are grateful for any suggestions or help.

If you do a search you will find a number of posts covering this topic but from memory I believe that superglue is the answer.

Not tried superglue but I managed to hold the plastic nut from turning and release the screw a quarter turn before using epoxy resin to resecure the "nuts". Then retightened the screws as normal - seems to hold well and keep the midges out :)

Thank you veg-ian. Really appreciate your reply. Have tried searching the posts and perhaps I am just really bad at search but lots of answers come up but they never refer to what I am looking for. Keep reading old posts instead of getting on. Can anyone even suggest keywords that might help?

Or maybe araldite .....

Try entering "Glue AND roof" into the search. That brings up a few relevant posts.
