Hi folks

Just a quick question about an alarm problem. When I set the alarm I get a triple beep which is repeated a few times.

Does anyone know what this means and how to rectify it?

Thanks

On mine it means either a window is open a crack, or a door (possibly tailgate) is not fully closed.

Ive just been down to the van and closed the passenger door properly. Quite embarrasing really. Lol

I spent most of the afternoon in and out of the passenger door trying to fix an electrical problem, which is why I almost automatically assumed another electrical fault!

Cheers for that

Freda's got a remote locking/alarm which beeps twice when being locked and once when being opened. If, however the alarm has gone off after being locked, it will beep three times when it's unlocked again; two beeps, pause, then one beep. This is to notify you that the alarm has sounded as there are no other signs that it has done so (my old Vauxhall's hazards would be flashing to let you know, even though the alarm wasn't sounding). Might this have been the reason for yours beeping three times?

It turns out that I hadn't closed the passenger door properly.
Just the two beeps to indicate locked now.

No such thing for Japanese home market vehicles. They don't need them in Japan - low crime-rate. You will be looking at fitting an aftermarket alarm I'm afraid.
