Thats the way with cars. About to give up in despair, sinking feeling in pit of stomach as you realise you've rendered your beloved u/s, then God intervenes (with luck). Good luck with the rest of the job

It is if you have the right tools and working conditions like a ramp etc. It's harder for us diyers when you are laid on the ground fumbling around often with makeshift tools. Very satisfying feeling when you get it done though. Keep going, success will prevail.

Spot on VI. And when you add in 55 and a dodgy back its a miracle to pull it off at all.

Great news. You could probably fill her up in this weather just by leaving the bonnet up in the rain

Hi flippa - Good to gear that you got the waterpump sorted. I am planning on doing the same job tomorrow (weather permitting). I have read the fact sheet, Workshop manual etc, any tips? - stuff to watch out for etc?
