arrrrgggghhhh, im still stuck...3 days later

please help me.........

im still need to know what bush/engine mount i need as bongo bits are struggling,

all my engineer said was that its the big bush that sits on top of my gear box (auto)

i can hear the engine rattling when im sat at lights and when i turn the engine off..

bongo bits are still waiting to hear back from japan....

he described it as a flat round ring quite big about the size of the diameter of a coffee cup,

can anyone help

Hi Caz,

re transmission bush, i have found the following part no. for a "transmission mounting bush" 39-340 same part no for both 2wd and 4wd but part is vehicle specific ie you must state when ordering 2wd or 4wd. could this be the part you are looking for. can you supply me with any more details

Hi Mike,

ive got the pages on my office computer, but am out of the office at present. i am using a blackberry mobile at present, and it goes wobbly when i try to download the parts pages due to file size.

Hi Mike,

Spoken to me mate in kyngs lynn, he says the mounts are available from mazda dealers, if the vehicle is VOR (vehicle off the road) a special order can be made apparently, but no idea of timings. No prices were given

not sure whom im most stressed with.....bongo bits are always soooo busy, not returing phone calls or the chap i need is on the phone so can i call back in 40 mins!!

well i did manage to leave a message to say the part number and thats about as far as i have got...

this is since monday......calm down dear....blimey i only want a bush!!

no comments to that please....although that did make my face crack into a slight smile.....oh god theres another pun!! crack!!

thanks very much for the pm

rang the guy and he was fab....bless him, but he did not have one either as someone had smatched the gearbox and the bush,

fingers crossed bongo bits rings me today....ive given them the part number that someone put on here so all being well im getting warmer,

my bongo is not off the road just dam noisy and engineer on standby to fix it..

perhaps there is a parts man somewhere.....if so i will get on for my engineer

WHOOOPPPEEEE, found the part, bongo bits say it was not the one on that plan.....anyway, was feeling chuffed and then they told me the price!! £85 plus vat and carriage............how much.............. :shock: :shock: :shock:


think i better keep hunting................
