steering wheel vibration /wobble

Hi
Anyone any suggestions on the following
When I apply the brakes when travelling at speed to stop
I experience alot of wobble/vibration through the steering wheel
bongo stops A ok no pulling to L or R no disk noise
Do you think disk pads are bedding in?
Should I be concerned?
Any comments appreciated

Eliminate things one at a time. I'm not expert, but a couple of possibles:
* Wheel imbalance. I paid £23 to get mine balanced and she was sweet as a nut after that. Before that I had wobble at 65-7-mph.
* Then maybe flat spot on tyres
* Then wait and see what folk on BF who know about Bongos reply with to your posting!

The problem only happens when braking rely hard other than that no wobble at all

Hi Will, you may find that one or both front discs are warped, (i've had forty something fords,i know about warped discs!
)
This is more prone on an automatic vehicle than a manual.
Failing that, if the discs have been removed recently for any reason, then perhaps the hub face hasn't been cleaned properly. It needs to be perfectly clean (eat your dinner off spotless).
The same applies to the mating inner face of the disc.
Its uncommon for rear discs to warp, because of the small amount of work they do.

I hadn't considered that as an option linusface....
that would have to be some REALLY hard braking!... In which case the discs are probably warped anyway!
In case you are unaware Will, the A.B.S. acts as an electronic form of cadence braking (on and off the brake pedal to reduce wheel lock up)
When the A.B.S kicks in, you will feel pulses through the pedal,and the pedal will be forced back upwards.
