i've searched the forums and know the various debates
about front/rear different/same.
bigger alloys or not, the choice is many ,however ,as far as i
can find ,the tyre size 215/ *70* /15 ( usually 65) has not been mentioned.
i know the difference is small but it is listed on the sticker inside the
drivers door frame on my bongo.
anyone know why this extra size is listed?

just curious really
(i don't even need new tyres)

cheers all

I've seen that size on a snow tyre.

It is strange that these sizes are stamped on all sorts of Bongos. As far as the specifications go 215/70R15 is always matched with 195SR15 NOT
195/70R15 (I'm not exactly sure what the difference is).
Also that pairing is only used on Vehicle models 'E-SG5W' which I think are all 2WD Bongolows.
215/70R15 is never used on 4wd Bongos, even though they still have the same size chart on the door frame.

195SR15 are 195/80 x15

I think you'll find no profile number denotes an 80 Trev - it used to be 82 until around 10 years ago...............the "S" also denotes a lower speed rating tyre which would tie in with the snow tyre theory.
