We've just got down to devon.. and the roof has mysteriously stopped working. It was working fine before we left.
It seems electrical.. No power, no motor noise.. nada.
I've checked the fuses and they look ok.
Any suggestions.. currently in Paighton.
Cheers.
Alan.

Hi,
I made the same mistake, phoned the dealer and he said "pull the hand brake up"

have you pressed the lock cancel button inside the roof before trying to lower it?

Thanks for the quick response.

Glad its sorted!.. If you have trouble in the future, and the handbrake is applied fully, nine times out of ten its the little wire that bolts to the bottom of the handbrake base thats usually the culprit

Praise be to Bongo Fury and its members!
I jus tested my roof for the first time before going away (to the Isle Of Man TT!) on saturday.
It opened ok and we got all excited about it being on, how airy it is and the possibilities of sitin g up there to watch racing.
Imagine my blind panic when I couldnt close it again!!
So, I logged in here and there were a couple of answers already.
The one about the handbrake, I knew already.
Then waycar8 (bless you) pointed out that there is a roof lock cancel button which isnt even mentioned in my English language hand book.
So, I made sure the handbrake was well on, started the engine and got in the back. NOW I could see the "lock cancel button" next to the light switch which was off. I switched the light to on, pressed the lock cancel button followed by "close" and down she came! Hallelujah!
Thank you all.
