Roof - judder

Hi there

I know this has been discussed in previous posts but I'm trying to get the old roof struts off and the damn things are proving stubborn  . Anyone done this? They need regassing - hence the judder at the last few inches and a friendly push up seems to help.

Much appreciated.

Have you tried WD40 on the tracks? Fixed our roof juddering.

Yeah - did the old chain lube bit a few days ago and put the roof up and down a lot to get it into the nooks and crannies, but since posting the question, hubby has managed to get one strut off - the other was too tensioned to remove - and it's quite "floppy" so will send this off for regas to see if that helps. But I've no idea how a regassed strut is then fitted - the tension is so great. Hopefully this will solve the problem.

Thanks anyway.
