uprating rear door struts

So Ive bought my bongo and I'm dead pleased. I want to fit a cycle rack, probably a bolt on fiamma or similar. I realise I will need to uprate or regas the struts.

Where can I get this done?
Anywhere in (west) cumbria?
Is it easier to buy replacement struts, if so what rating etc?

Thanks for your help

Ian

Had mine done at SGS for the same reason. Tell them what you want them doing for and your rack will weigh about 8kgs. £70 ish, cheaper than new ones and very cood company to deal with.

I've got a Fiamma Carrybike bolted on, and I didn't have to upgrade the struts at all. You have to remove the bikes though.

Thanks all

I'll try the rack without upgrading first, then upgrade if necessary.

Any handy hints on fitting a fiamma pro c?

put it up to the van and see where it'll attach at the top and where the rubbers at the bottom touch the door and cover these bits with some kind of tape to stop them marking the paint... it might also be worth taking the rear view mirror off and refitting once the racks on as it gets in the way whilst fitting , I haven't tried this myself ,I just slid it along but mite try it next time I have it off....
