And to finish the weekend there was DUCK FIGHTING  These two really laid into each other - we chucked a bucket of water over them and bashed them with the washing up bowl but they still wouldn't let go of each other's throats :!: Mrs. Duck just waddled off and left them to it

First things first. Thanks to Ian and Marianne for what must have been very hard work to make the weekend so enjoyable. Considering it was our first time Bongo camping, it worked out surprisingly trouble free and enjoyable. Nice to meet so many so nice peeps. Here a few piccies of the event.

Great few days & perfect weather too. Thanks to Ian & Marianne for organising such a good venue. Thanks to Keith & 2Sticks for getting us out of the slight flat battery difficulties on the Sunday morning. The walk to The Dew Drop Inn was quite an adventure, and the trip back was enough to work off the calories from lunch. I don't remember seeing the Berkshire College of Agriculture on the itinery, but it was a pleasant detour. At least we made it to the "Red Lion".

Good to catch up with a few old faces & meet some new folks too. Looking forward to Stourport.

Ah, I'm glad you "appreciated" the direction clues on the outward walk (I was a Girl Guide you know    ) Perhaps we should have put some down for the return trip too  , still at least you made the Red Lion - we never found it :!:

Thanks to everyone we met on our first Southern Softies week end, weather was great but those rudy planes. We're not used to all that noise down ere. Thanks to the early risers for keeping me company on my long trek around the site. We enjoyed the lunch at the Dew Drop Inn and the walk from the Bongo across the car park was ardous??
Sorry,no photos but thanks to those who have posted theres.
We are both looking to see you all at Stourport,

Excellent! Snowy had just done a poo and if you watch carefully, about 10 seconds from the end, Marianne picks Snowy up and takes her back to our Bongo.

Ahhhhh, the sites and smells of Hurley preserved for future generations....
