Just had a thought about bringing a caravan....bloody hell...you'll never get it through the centre of the village and around the corner leading to the rally site.

You need to come in from Wood Broughton.

good luck

will i get through with a large trailer?

Possibly but it is a tight 90 degree turn...single track between buildlings...blind corner...very difficult to back out of.

If the caravan/trailer owners would like to ring my mobile: 0771 886 2692 tomorrow from 12.00 I can set up n escort to show you the best way in.

my trailer is long and narrow,so may be ok,but will give you a call anyway, thanks Harry for the warning,is it not signposted for caravans?

Not signposted for caravans...approach by staying on the A590 past the turning to Grange...up the big hill to the new roadworks and then turn left signposted Cartmel.

At the next main crossroads turn left then at the next T junction turn right along the B road towards Newby Bridge.

Take the second lane on the left (to Wood Broughton then second laft at the top of a short rise.

This lane eventually leads down to the racecourse.

cheers
