Hello All,
This meet is now getting close and I am after a bit of help.
Harry came up with a great idea for his NW meet at
Silverdale of a kid’s tent area, is anyone willing to bring and set up spare tent/gazebo so the kids can escape the adults from time to time?( obviously not to far from the adults)
Anyone fancy organising some children’s entertainment?
Anyone fancy organising some adult entertainment?
Would anyone like to go to the Ice cream farm on Saturday? It’s free and fun for all ages. Its about a 25min drive and route plans will be included in your welcome pack .I suggest we set off at 1.30pm to leave plenty of time when we get back to set up for the Saturday night BBQ & communal fire.]
http://www.cheshirefarmicecream.co.uk/v ... mments.asp
We have plenty to celebrate this weekend with Gillian’s & Wayne’s Birthdays. Also we have a Silver Wedding Anniversary for Andy & Denise.
I do believe its Bongo tradition to have a fairly low key Friday with setting up and mingling. Then Saturday to grab all BBQ’s, chairs, drinks early evening by Harry’s marquee and have a right good party! Extra gazebos are always appreciated.
There will be a raffle held in aid of the " Gracie shoebox appeal" for a foam roof matress tickets will be £1 , this will be drawn at the Saturday night BBQ . A BIG thank you to Phil at
JAL IMPORTS for kindly suppling this for the cause .
For those who want a more historical experience I have included a route plan to a long stay car park in Chester in your welcome pack. From here you can walk the historic roman Chester walls and go into town if you wish. If you just want to relax for the weekend it’s a lovely site to just chill with local pubs to enjoy.

As the meet has been so popular please bring porta loos if you have one as there are only two male and two female toilets and I guess they may get busy

! Please also be aware that the site manager has asked that children do not congregate around these facilities.
A £10 returnable deposit is needed when you arrive; this is for your security fob to open the barrier for the site.
All deposit cheques will be banked this week to pay the site owner.
Cheers Jackie

- thinking i might find a way of attaching a tarpaulin-shanty town style -peg leg pete is the shanty expert though-
how relaxing friday is will depend on whether anyone notices i,ve booked the friday off when some-one else is off (not really allowed) If somone says anything then it will be a mad dash down arriving late friday evening.

Good news!
I have been to see the local bar & restaurant called the "Davenport Arms” (it’s exceptionally nice and has just been refurbished) and the very welcoming, charming landlord Henny has offered us Bongo peeps a great deal.
If two Adults eat a main, you can get either.
A free Bottle of wine (red or white)
or a free pudding
or starter instead for your party.-Including the kids!
So if you fancy a Sunday lunch on the way home or can not be bothered cooking lunch at the meet ...this is the place. It also has a beer garden for the dog people amongst us. Lunch is served from noon and food is available until 9pm
Turn left out of the camp to the bottom of the road and left again. (About 3 mins drive in a car!) Don’t forget if you don’t want to drive the camp has an on site Taxi service.
Kid’s meals are £3.95
Main meals start from £8.25.
Starters from £4.25
Puddings £3.25
Before you order - please tell them your on the "bongo meet up discount "
Cheers Jackie
