update regarding friday. come on hurry up, cant wait.
were going to be there about 1.30pm on friday, im finishing early so we can meet and greet people onto the site, no doubt someone will beat us there.
i will go down tomorrow night to check things all ok with the site.
if im allowed ill put up some signs but its pretty straight forward, from york, turn right half mile out of naburn into site and then left into the big field.
ill check but im sure were gonna be pitched down the right hand side of the field sheltered by trees and a hedge.
looking forward to it but dont look at the weather forecast.
showers friday night, sunnyish on saturday and raining as per usual on sunday. hopefully it will change for the better,
winds only about 8 mph, fine for big kites.

Sorry guys, but Erm and me cant make it. Too much to do and so little time (and money)
We have been talking to Waycar and he has made us SO guilty that we WILL try to make a day visit on Saturday (but Erins on call so no Campari for us)
Now if I can just persuade Wayne to spend six days with us, we are laughing (Decorate a room a day Wayne???)
All t best,
Dave n erm

ust been down to the swamp (sorry caravan park)
its still on, however a couple of points.
we have been moved to the FAR RIGHT point of the field not near the entrance and a bit of a walk for the toilets im afraid. they say they have some tents coming in and they are to be pitched where we were going.
The field is a top of a hill so where we are isnt going to be perfectly level but it should be dry for us.
the only problem is the entrance to the field, the run off with the water has made this quite swampy but the owners have 20 tonnes of stone coming to create a drive into the field as far as 20 tonnes will run. There is a drinking water tap nr the entrance too which he says he will run to in stone. It may be advisable not to foget a water carrier to save puddling up the tap area.
it might also be advantagious to take some wellies or stout shoes to use on site. Im hoping a bit more dry weather comes our way but i doubt it. we had two more heavy downpours today.
The toilets are open all the time and no keys are required for access.
Im apealing for anyone with a gazebo or the likes to bring one so we have some shelter in a general area rather than trying to cram into someones awning.
Im gonna go and see if we can get one before friday but anymore would be appreciated.
so when you turn into the site the field will be on your left after 2 speed bumps identified with a little red post with an A shape on it (suspect this is for the other rally going on at the same time.) and head for the far right end. We will hopefully be there on site for any help.
finally please remember to bring the two most important things to finish off the weekend. beer and more beer.
or 3 if you include the bbq.
thanks to all of you who have shown an interest in this meet and will see you all on friday.
safe jouneys everone.
