I called Dave at the pub today to confirm numbers so far. The campsite is drying out nicely. He recommended that the heaviest motorhomes go on the hard standing area and turning immediately left at the entrance is also good, up the side of the hedge, although the further you go up the field the softer the ground. Reckon we'll be fine, she said with fingers crossed.

We can have 10 motorhomes/caravans and more cars and tents above that. If you have a bongo and a tent, that'll be fine! Dave doesn't care where you sleep! Reckon me, Dr Fingers, Binbongoed (possibly) and Baz should be up for that. Baz I can lend you a tent if you like, let me know if you need me to pack one.

If you'd like to book Sunday lunch roast then I'll be taking numbers the weekend before, so Dave can get the meat in. Lovely roast dinners!

Dear All, and especially Jilly,

I really regret this, but we cannot make it due to reasons beyond our control, (etc, etc). I think there were a couple of others on a waiting list (?) so hopefully our space will go to a good use.

Huge thanks to Jilly for all her efforts in organisng this, gutted that we can't be there, this time. Hope to meet somewhere soon.

3. EHU & hardstanding: Boy from Brazil (Paul & Susie) - motorhome
4. EHU & near hardstanding: New Forest Terrier (Mary & Ceris) - bongo & eriba
5. Near entrance along hedge - Sooty & Georgie & Snoopy firelogs Whisky - car & caravan
6. EHU Near hardstanding: Panda Bob (Bob & Sue) - bongo & caravan ozpig
7. EHU (not essentially): Jillygumbo (& Cfor) (Fri, Sat) bongo & tent firepit
8. Bongobaz BF bongo & tent

Thanks Jilly.

Hook up isn't essential for us if someone else needs it, and we're 4wd.

Yeah me too.

I know you are 4x4 but you do have a caravan. Up to you at the end of the day.

Hi Jilly and all - we are looking forward to this meet. sorry we've not been on the forum recently. We could do with hardstanding if there's one available, due to the van being quite heavy and front wheel drive. It is not a Bongo but a high top PVC. It all depends on the state of the ground, though, and it's got time to dry out a little

We're just back from a couple of nights in the Peak district, we found a really nice campsite, the weather was varied but mostly good. And very cold, had the heater on all night one night. See you soon!

No, just a local campsite as we haven't even seen the caravan since September, plan was to get out a bit more but we've both been ill. Nowt serious, but enough to ground us.

We're thinking of coming along this weekend - just the one night or two? We'll just turn up if we do.

And closer, any more for any more? I suggest the ones requiring hardstanding park with the rearend to the pub, so we can get more on the hardstanding area, rather than in a circle. I know it's not as nice, but we want to get as many people as possible on the harder ground. If those that need hardstanding but not electric can keep to the near or far ends, that should help. Those that arrive early, please bear this in mind. Remember your splitters and extensions.

Time to order your Sunday lunch folks. Can you let me know please, including John & Steff, Tony & Pam.

1. EHU & hardstanding: Chris, Gem & Girls - car & caravan
2. EHU & hardstanding: Crazy (Gray & Kerry) - motorhome
3. EHU & hardstanding: Boy from Brazil (Paul & Susie) - motorhome
4. EHU & near hardstanding: New Forest Terrier (Mary & Ceris) - bongo & eriba
5. Near entrance along hedge - Sooty & Georgie & Snoopy firelogs Whisky - car & caravan
6. Near entrance along hedge if no space on hardstanding - Binbongoed (Geoff and Carol) - not bongo
7. EHU (not essentially): Panda Bob (Bob & Sue) - bongo & caravan ozpig
7. EHU (not essentially): Jillygumbo (& Cfor) (Fri, Sat) bongo & tent firepit - ROAST
8. Bongobaz BF bongo & tent
9. Bessybongo2 (Haydn)? avoid soft spots Haydn

Dave has advised that apart from the hardstanding area near the pub garden and outbuildings, the next best spot is alongside the entrance next to the hedge, but the ground gets softer the further up the field you go. For those with bongos - pick your spot!!! but there will be soft patches.
