Well folks, tomorrow is deadline day for me to receive your payments. I have PM'd those who I've not heard from. So watch out those of you on the reserve list - some of you might get lucky.Di and Jamie wrote:Right then folks, here’s the booking info as promised.
All the bookings are to go through me please and not the site. At present I have 25 pitches, which is 5 more than we originally hadThe first 25 that expressed an interest are guaranteed a place if they still want it. I will go to the reserve list if any of the original 25 cant make it. The cost is £15 per night inclusive of leccy. I require full payment of £30 to be sent to me by 7th April. Please PM me for the address to send cheques to.
This is a caravan site so strictly NO TENTS are allowed. It has to be an awning. It’s to do with the site's licence. The pitches are completely hard-standing gravel over hard-core, so you will need hard ground pegs for your awnings.
The mobile phone coverage is a bit patchy. I have Orange which manages a text up there but no calls (unless you hang off the end of the jetty). O2 is similar. I don’t know about the other networks sorry. There is a payphone available.
There is a £5 refundable deposit for a key for the toilets/shower block. There is no extra charge for the showers. The ladies has a hairdryer provided. The site has a well stocked licensed shop.
We can access the site from 12PM on the friday. There is a barrier system in operation. The barrier is generally up all day on the south entrance. It goes down around 9PM. There is a north entrance/exit where the barrier is aways down. I will PM you all nearer the time with the code for the barrier.
On the Friday night we shall have a Jacobs Join in the marquee next to the lake , from around 7.30PM. For those of you new to this, all it means is we will have a buffet and you need to bring a contribution - sweet, savoury or drink. This is of course optional but the rules are if you want to eat something you have to have brought something. It’s the law.
On Saturday late afternoon/early evening we will aim to have a BBQ by the lake. Again this is optional. Just do what ever you are comfortable with.
These are the first 25. If you are on this list and CANT come please let me know asap then I can allocate your place to someone else. If you’re coming, get your cheque books out![]()
