Bah! I thought I had subscribed to this thread, but I hadn't, so I've missed most of it!

I just thought I'd throw a mini spanner into the works - the directions on the Forestry Commission website are a bit wonky; the entrance to the campsite is actually here, a bit further to the north. It's right opposite a car park on the other side of the road. You can walk or cycle in from the southern end, but you can't drive in.

We should be there early afternoon or so; maybe we can drive around the place a bit to "round up" any lost Bongoliers...

Ooo and another thing: be warned that the "White House" pub on the map is no longer a pub...

The nearest pub is probably the Horns in Slitting Mill over towards Rugeley eastwards. A nice walk over the Chase westwards can take you to the Springslade Lodge cafe which is a super little cafe, mind...

We will be there bout midday, we will look for other bongo's looking lost if we get lost finding way in lol

Wasn't sure if we'd be able to make it to this one. But it looks as though we can now, so looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow afternoon.

Is there gong to be anybody present at 2pm ?
Or will you all have whizzed off by then ?
