Well we got our first Bongo bash out the way, and what a great weekend! Weather was fantastic, the site was fantastic, the people even better. Saw lots of nice bongos, chatted to lots of nice owners and generally had a great weekend. The drive back was a long haul with a mighty hangover (6 hours we think), but I would do it all tomorrow if I could.
The Bongo travelled well and gave not a hint of a problem. Seemed to like the long drive and lapped it up and gave me the impression it could just keep going... Very pleased with the van and the experience it afforded us.
Thank you to all I spoke to, I enjoyed the company of everyone I had the pleasure to bump into, the event was every bit as good as advertised, and it was a pleasure talking to one and all.
Fantastic! See you all next time.
David

Did anyone else heading back north encounter the closure of M5 at Gloucester? Massive detour via Cirencester, Stow & Warwick meant it took me 10 hours to get home.....

Hi all
We had a fantastic time too at our first bash. Thanks for making us so welcome and well done Ian and Marianne for arranging it all. The karaoke was great! Michael (and his friend Sam) made loads of friends. Really great weekend. Hope to see you all again soon. We're in Barnstaple so if anyone's down this way, would love to catch up.

We saw the signs for the problems on the M5. After checking the map, it was too far up the road to affect us. We then ran into a tailback on the M4 for a crash, so headed across country.
We headed up the M5 then turned right after Bristol onto the M4 the turned left at Swindon to head home across country and keep off the motorways.
We left a 1pm and got home at 8pm. Long time in the saddle.
