Woulda been funny if a load of bongos had turned up when there was a load of bongo players there

Later than anticipated - of course - but we're on our way.
Shopping for a gas bottle en route but should be there around 2ish.

A very select band of desperados have just enjoyed a weekend of brilliant weather, sunny with just a light breeze to keep the midgies away. As becomes a visit to Britain's highest pub most of us drank far too much.
A bit noisy at night but hey what do you want for a £2 per night camping fee. Could have chose a quiet spot up the road for nowt if I'd wanted P&Q.
As I recall (sumwhat blurrily) Grim up North, Di & Jamie, Diamond, Dreamwarrior, Mr Munky and myself turned up for one or both nights.
Thanks to Chris & Liz for calling the meet and additional thanks to Chris for suggesting a new name for my Kangoo with which I tow my shed...now named 'The Hutch' cos its a shed that I keep my rabbits in i.
The new name for my Kangoo is......
wait for it.......
Starsky
Cheers

Blessed with the weather, for a change!

Geocaching was a hoot too.
If theres enough interest from the Hardcore on here, there will be a proper Brass Munkeys bash late January 2010.
This is one of the best places to get stuck at when the weather closes in.
I'll book the barn again & get a band in.

Speaking about you earlier today Chell. Out geocaching in the middle of nowhere, there was an old Dutch Merc van parked up.

Annabelle cleverly spotted the remnants of this on the side.

Was It You???

As one of the select few at this very splendid little gathering I would like to thank the other select few who attended this meet for making it so splendid. Too many funny moments to mention but I think my favourite has to be Harry offering to help a bunch of young un's erect their tent whilst he was sporting a very fetching blonde wig. I think the kids were so scared of him they just let him take over
I enjoyed the geocaching today and think I could actually get into doing it.
Heres my pics........

One of the many carvings in the big rocks behind the inn

Hutch - pictures of it at last. I think the ducks were eyeing it up to kip in

Harry enjoying the wig a bit too much

Mrs M actually scoffing Maisy's dog treats. It was a while till tea time so a snack was needed

The look on Annabelles face as she watches her mum says it all

Oh My Goodness. How spooky. Ady was looking at something similar in Auto sommat today. Why would you spot this with a witch on it. Oh my brain hurts

Mrs Dreamwarrior. Ady says you look stunning in that pic of you near your bongo. Excellent.Di and Jamie wrote:
