Well hello everyone....unaccustomed as I am to blogging on this site- can I just say what a lovely set of folk you Bongo people really are! Admittedly and regrettably we have been so busy at work etc, we have had no time in perusing your wonderful comments and photographs, which brings me and him indoors to stating so so sorry for not meeting our counterparts in this happy and odd occasion. Lots of new & old and novice bongo folk...with a common thread....
Special thanks to Harry for guiding our lot inc the efforvescent Belle (and late on mind the weary) but enthusiastic Mum to the terrible Tony who spends drunken nights with Welsh strangers, the dream warrior supremo and Mr M with a gammy Titanium leg and Mr bung who made it to the peak!
Lovely day hence to add, me and Miss M in the bags by 9! Pathetic i know - but not 37 anymore....what a difference a year makes !
Anyway, Chris spent many months making sure everything was ok and we are so so so happy that you enjoyed yourselves - thankyou once again for being such lovely people......all of us are so different but the nice thing is we are all so nice!....Its nice to be nice.
Piccies which are brilliant will follow whence i shall study how to use photoobucket or somat like that ! night you good BONGO people. :)

Hi all, Bongolow reporting in. Thanks to all for a great weekend, especially to Mr M and Harry for all their hard work.

A mate of mine had booked a cottage just south of Beddgelert so I joined him for the week - and what a week! After Saturday, unbroken sunshine for the whole time - first time I can remember being sunburnt in March (except last year, but that was in New Zealand..!). We were out in the hills every day (except Tuesday for me as I had a bit of a job to do in Liverpool). Quite hazy for most of the time though so not the best conditions for photography. Mustn't grumble though - makes a change to be eating my butties while basking in the sun instead of cowering behind a rock.

The journey to Liverpool on Tuesday turned into an epic. I set off at 05:30, stopped in Betws-y-coed to look at the map and when I tried to start the engine the battery had gone kaput.. :( . Had to get the breakdown people out to jump start me (not many people about in Betws-y-coed at 06:15 on a March Tuesday). Ended up in Llandudno Junction getting a new battery fitted before continuing to Liverpool. A five hour epic to do a one hour's job..! Could have been worse though - we could have just got down from a long day on the hill, parked in the middle of nowhere with no signal on the mobile (and, shock horror, no teabags in the Bongo.. ), so I'm rather glad it happened when it did.

I'll get some photos up tomorrow, including Snowdon summit shots.
