Please note that the ploughing competition (see turf wars elswhere) may have to be cancelled due to the judge (Peter Humphrey) being unable to get a visa to cross Lancashire from Yorkshire to the Wirral having had a summons for environmental damage served upon him by Dent Parish Council (Cumbria).
If you were at Dent please note that due to the lack of on site or nearby facilities (unlike Dent) our Wirral event will include a (shock horror) social event on site on Saturday evening (outdoors if wet).
If you were not at Dent then don't miss this opportunity for a bit of proper north west hospitality (and bongo madness)
Entertainment will be provided by the gentlemen trying to control their barbeques in the stiff south westerly breeze blowing across the sea from Wales (blame the Welsh..everyone else does).
Ladies may compete in the glamorous thermals competition sponsored by Damart (to be judged late in the evening after a few glassses of wine)
Shelter will be provided in Harry's ultimate 20ft x10ft drive in (not drive away) awning = (marquee)...please bring your own barbeque/chairs/tables/food/drink/dogs/cats/ferrets etc..
Don't miss this one....you'll need something that you wish you could forget when your trying to get to sleep
cheers

Thanks Harry, I have just heard the charges against me have been dropped So who knows may still get across to the wirral meet yet. Sounds good to have a social getogether, something lacking at Dent meet, but always happens at the un-official meets as you well know well got to dash and post off the grass seed to Margaret

Angus beef
Just to confirm that you supply your own Angus beef steaks! @ Wirral.
I would never trust myself to B-B-Q Angus beef, charred sausages and burgers is all that I risk.
Don't forget your B-B-Qs and to come to Wirral.
Best Wishes,
Walter.
