Passed the campsite at Dent in a hailstorm this afternoon...had to pull over as wipers could not cope....noise phenomenal!!!!!!

Very windy and cold...abandoned proposed walk and picnic in favour of pub lunch

Lanes a bit slippery but clearing....just got home to Grange...looked out while typing this and its snowing full belt

ooh er missus.

Here's a photo of my other vehicle (I'm not kidding) taken this time last year here in sunny Grange over Sands.

Should be perfect for Dent

Looks like we are going to have to invest in some Passion Killers ( pyjamas ) and a Hot water bottle if it's going to be sooooo cold.

There is some SERIOUS weather out there.
I'm down at sea level and we've had about an inch of sticking snow in just over an hour. Can hardly see across the road.

Even if the snow stops please don't think of going to Dent other than via Sedbergh. Other roads get iced easily and take ages to clear.

...and I'm afraid my 'other vehicle' (see earlier post) wont be available...we're on standby to assist our local ambulances.

Both the Met office and Metcheck are predicting milder weather towards the end of the week - so that probably means rain... :( :(
