Thanks for the further responses Northern. I think I have decided to get the long ones as then I won't have to bend metal bus bars around, I can put it back as it came off. Taking some risk out of it for £15-20 extra it might be sensible for a novice. I have been assured that the long ones are highquality. I will however wait for now because frosty starts are over and I can think about this in Sept/October. Learn quite a lot about the job and if it was not for the forum I probably would have bought the plugs and asked the garage to do it.
