If its a walking speed convoy, can we do it with the roofs up in tribute?

Dream warrior I am hoping I can fire up our Bongo's battery to make this trip, any vehicle would do I would think. You could be sandwiched between the convoy.

Karen needs to confirm how long it will take from the Chapel of rest to the Crematorium. She can then post up the time we should meet up to start the 1st leg of the Convoy. (Sorry I'm on my mobile responding).
I hope that helps a bit.

I'm really, really sorry to say that I can't come to see Keith off in the manner that he would have loved.

I shall be up in the Cairngorms from Wednesday until Sunday with the Montain Rescue Team. As I'm part of the organising/training/logistics team, I simply wont be able to make it.

Strangely, on almost the last time I spent time with Keith he was helping me to 'rescue' a lost fellwalker on the Dales Way near Grassington. Typical of Keith he offered his time and services without a second thought to drive me around to different locations until we finally found the guy (about 5 miles from the place last seen) and we were able to reunite him with his walking group.

To all of those attending please raise a glass to Keith from me. I'll be with you in spirit.

To Karen and the rest of the family BIG HUGS.

ok i can manage ddirections but i,ve just been in informed there may be a time change probably earlier because the church has a prayer group meeting at 2pm -so watch this space -just what i need after i,ve done all the notices.

Jo if you think manchester is remote wait til you get up here. funeral parlour is

H Eaton & Sons
* Ashlands Chapel Of Rest
* Ashlands Road
* Ilkley
* West Yorkshire
* LS29 8JT its just off the main through road,and there is parking
still not sure about the timing to drive to the crem from here - will let you know - and i,ll say it because i know at least one of you is longing too -if anyone was going to be late for his own funeral...

crematorium is
The Gatehouse Walton Wray Cemetery,Carleton Road, SKIPTON, BD23 3BT again parking ok

church is more difficult -doesnt have a postcode and isnt actually in Linton http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=linton+ ... =en&tab=wl
so towards grassington from skipton on the b6265 through cracoe and round the right angle bend theres a quarry on the left continue to threshfield over the humpy bridge pub on the left called the old hall turn right towards grassington then immediatly left towards burnsall continue too the crossroads and turn left go down the hill and straiight forward at the bottom follow the road down there is a car park at the church or if its full, one just before it on the right

the pub is one of only three in grassington halfway up the main street on the right parking in grassington is a bit of a nightmare i,m afraid.there is one along the bottom but it may be a bit pricey and a free one right at the top past the town hall but it may be a bit full.

Use BD23 6BQ for the church, will put you on Church Road at least and carry on to the church. :wink:
