Hi Bongobaz the postcode is roughly LA11 7QJ if you stick that in google maps you can put your man on the map and view the entrance. I will rummage though photo bucket tomorrow for some pics, tis a nice peaceful location. Eight hooks are available and there are home and away showers,. nothing fancy but they are clean. Gent's and ladies loo's and a kitchen available.

Your on a hook Pete and Gillian. Yeah we could do an easter bonnet thing.... sounds good.

Karen you can use our eriba if you like, private space for you. I can set up an awning for a communal area and kitchen for us. See how things go for you x I like the idea of bowling Alan lol

Ask for directions to Allithwaite Village Hall and Playing Field. Leave the B277 and turn off right for Church Road then look out for the narrow Quarry Lane on the right a few hundred yards down. On the left side of the entrance to Quarry lane there is a Charity Shop which usually has it goods for sale sprawled all over the Pavement. Postcode is LA11 7QJ

Can I book a place with electric hook up for Gillian's Dad please.
Unfortunately he only has a transit not a Bongo but I'm sure you good peeps won't mind and will make him very welcome
Thanks v much.

Gillian will get some prizes for the Easter Bonnet parade and requests that all hats be wearable (ie they MUST be on your head when judging takes place)
Anyone not wishing to take part in the competition can be the judges. =D> =D>

Looking forward to this one

Hi there Jo,

I've dropped you a PM wrt details for this meet.

We've had our bongo since late Aug, but due to work commitments and having to work away lots, we've not had a chance to use our bongo in 'anger' so to speak.

Looking forward to meeting up and seeing how seasoned bongoniers do it.

Hi Jo,

Just got your PM and replied.

Could you give us the dates so they are in the set in concrete.

I'm just about to inform my good wife that she now has to make easter bonnets for the girls!

BDonkey family, sorry I have just expected people to know the format! I am sorry not very welcoming to new people am I. We are not exactly cast in stone here at Allithwaite as we have a field here at our disposal and can be very flexible Anyone can arrive Thursday 21st and stay though till 25th of April. We are based in the South lakes and there is little crime and anyone of us can watch over your belongings, if you want to pop off travelling.

We will have a marquee as a communal area and we usually do a Jacob's Join on an a friday night. People bring food to a communal table to share food and *hick* drink together or a cup of tea whatever your preference and have a laugh. This is because some people travel quite far and it nice to find food after a long day's travelling. Usually people meet up in the marquee after the end of each day for a laugh but it is not obligatory.

Hi Jo,

Thats great, we should be coming up Friday and get there with enough light to pitch and let the girls run 'loose'.

Is the site dog friendly or shall I have the hound put into kennels?

It does not have to be a girly bonnet - as long as its basically a hat and wearable on the head - we want as many as possible to take part. Of course we don't want to upset anyone.

How about doing a decorated egg competition as well? Might be a bit more for the boys?

Gillian is happy to bring party games - for a bit of extra fun - if anyone wants a bit of entertainment.

Harry and Diamond I'm sure will remember some of the 'fun' party games from long ago meets!

Let me know then she has a bit of time to prepare

I've really missed Gillian's silly games at recent meets.

All sound like good fun.

There is also a giant car boot sale on Sunday at nearby Flookburgh airfield.
I'll be going (and maybe selling?)

H 8)

ps. Can I have a hookup please Jo?
