Thanks Doone, yes it is. It's broken on the top side of the valve. I still not sure if I have to repair it or not now that the EGR blanking plates have been fitted. The valve still functions and extra air cannot be sucked in through the valve.

Al's had quite a few in for servicing, with that part missing or broken The EGR hasn't been touched, so it seems like that part breaks easily. Some don't have it repaired!

Fixed it, I reamed the inside of the valve and the broken bit out to a diameter that would receive a piece of Biro refill pipe to act as stub/spigot and then carefully glued the two parts together, checking that the valve still worked. Wrapped it in duct tape to add a bit of support.
