You dont need a rod just your feet.

For thousands of years people living near estuaries have trudged across the mud-flats at low tide, taken off their shoes, waded into shallow water and used their bare feet to locate them. Tramping for flounders was a particularly popular pastime along estuaries of the rivers that run into Morecambe Bay and the bays round the coast of south-west Scotland – Luce, Wigtown and the Solway.

i remember going to Arnside as a child -not that many years ago -really -and trampling fish. to be honest the thought makes me shudder now. :lol: :lol: :lol:

I remember swimming in the River Tigris when I was in Baghdad in the mid sixties (no trouble then). The fish kept nuzzling up to my big toes to see if they were edible. I got a fright seeing the teeth on them when my Arab pals mum served us up fish for dinner a few days later. :shock:

The remainder will be allocated hookups as and if they become available.

£8 per pitch per night (Friday and/or Saturday night)....no minimum stay.
Payable to me upon arrival.
Virtually unlimited number of pitches available.

Extra nights:
Please see the campsite warden upon arrival...no need to book in advance.

Please let me know asap if you can't come. If you've booked a pitch and do not turn up you will be expected to pay for it.

Hookup pitches will be held until 9.00pm on Friday unless you let me know in advance that you will be arriving late.

Programme of events will be discussed at the Bank Holiday meet at Allithwaite.
