PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS MEETING HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO A FIRE AT THE CAMPSITE. Anyone who has booked will be refunded via their original payment method.
Joe at the site phoned this morning (Monday 1 March) to tell us there had been a fire over the weekend. This has made the electrics on site unsafe. The facilities and pub are unaffected. However, he said that if anyone still wanted to camp for the weekend without a hook-up they can do so absolutely free of charge as long as they were on the original list provided by the club.
We will be contacting everyone by email shortly.

Crikey, what bad luck
I wonder if the disappointed might be able to find a site near the Bakewell informal gathering if it isn't too short notice?

We'll still be going.
But are we going to the Cotton Arms or the Red Lion?

My mistake. It's the Cotton Arms.

Hi all
Our first Bongo Bash and then it is cancelled

.... BUT read on and then it isn't. Quite agree, who needs 'leckie when there is a pub. And when the urchin need to go to bed, there's the BBQ and a crackling firelog.
See you all there!

Just e-mailed Ian, we're definitely still going. It's 'Tough Northerners', not Woosey Nancies.
Not that we're tough, or from the North, but we're comin'.
