Hello Guys, just reading this again.

Dave, the community centre has chairs and tables it will also save us having to erect Harry's marquee (well he is getting on a bit yanno :oX). We can be undercover with electicity for our party, there is also a small kitchen. I am gonna deck the hall and Chris is compiling the tunes for the weekend.

We also have a 2kw generator available for anyone to borrow if you need to boost up your leisure batteries or whatever over the weekend, please let us know.

Furniture drop off in Dawen postphoned until 7th August. I will now be comming directly to Allinwaite and expect to be there on Friday by mid to late afternoon. Must remember to pack my GPS receiver and work out how to use it again. Note to self: stop being a Ludite and start using the GPS receiver sometimes instead of the old map and compass all the time.

I have spoken today to one of the committee members from the Allithwaite playing fields, and have a tentative agreement that two or three vans can connect to the power supply from the hall, in effect a hook up, a small donation ( £2 per day ) to the hall funds was suggested. We saw Harry yesterday at the rose show, and he said that some members with young children may have been put off by the lack of hook ups, so.... if you are now interested in joining us, please pm me.

I visited the 'booking secretary' last night to finalise plans last night and it appears she has booked the centre to the bridge club on the Friday night! slight hitch. But I guess those guys keep the place going during the darker months so hey ho.

Anyway been in touch with Harry and we will be erecting his marquee in the Friday afternoon for the Jacob's on the Friday night, so slight change of plan nothing drastic. We have use of the centre on the Saturday.

Harry will be along later to let you all know of "his" theme.... ;o)

Here is the theme for Saturday night's party.

You have to come along as another forum member (male or female)
You can do a straight imitation/disguise or maybe something more cryptic.
Everyone will have to guess who is supposed to be who.

It doesn't have to be someone who is attending.
It could even be your partner as long as they are forum members???

Prizes for the best.

Hmm I will get back to you on that one, I have access to the hall from the Thursday, I may be able to make a couple of tables from the centre take a walk with me. I will let you know in good time Dave.
