Can we join your meet too please?
We're from South Wales, but would love to attend this - the lights would be great, but to be in a convoy of fellow Bongoliers, well that would just be wonderful!!!
We would have to travel up early on Saturday morning, and find somewhere to stay on Saturday night but that isn't a problem
Had a word with hubby, as he's deffo up for this - my 7 year old son will probably explode with excitment

- driving down the street with the roof up!!!!! - my 12 year old daughter will eitehr love it, or be totally embarrassed and try to divorce us as parents! (You know what they're like at that age!)

Thomas would love this, but I'm supposed to be teaching that weekend. If I can find someone to cover for me, we would like to come.

Wayhey! I mentioned to my daughter last night - and she said 'Ooooooo Cwwoool!'

so we can come safe in the knowledge that she won't try to divorce us for embarrassing her! (Mmmmm, may come in fancy dress now, just to wind her up!

)
I'd like to dress Jonnie suitably for the occasion - any thoughts on how I can deck the roof with lights?

(nothing technical

- I don't do technical!

)

Sorry guys but the wild camping spots we had in mind are a no no

Tried 2 campsites both fully booked up all the weekends during the lights ( and to expensive £22 a night ) .Thats the ones in Blackpool. There is a few on the outskirts. Try
http://www.ukcampsites.co.uk. There is one around the corner from where we live ( Richmond Hill caravan site ). Sure mellyarnold ( Mel & Adam have stayed there, not the cheapest, but very local to Pleasure Beach etc. pm them to find out what it's like as we havn't got a clue. Will keep checking wild camping out as well. Its just if you are thinking about staying over i would suggest to get booked in now if you can as weekends are very busy here.

Have a look at this campsite.
http://www.easthamhall.co.uk. Looks nice and just down the road from Blackpool.
And they have availability on the nights you want

just got this off the wildcamping website.
I recently stayed at Lytham St Annes. Lovely little place and very close to Blackpool. We camped 2 nights in a small free carpark just back from the beach, and drove into Blackpool for free street parking near the South entrance to the Pleasure beach.
We were joined by 2 other motorhomes on the first night and 3 on the second. Unfortunately there was also one caravan there that had clearly set up residence for quite some time so the council may impose restrictions in future
The GPS Co-ordinates are: N53.73563 W2.97932 (end of Fairlawn Road)
There was also street parking in Lytham StAnnes on the grass verge just down the road where 2 other motorhomes were parked but it was immediately opposite residential properties which I felt a little uncomfortable doing. GPS coordinates: N53.73587 W2.97632 (Seafield Road)
If you need LPG and Water there is an excellent station a couple of miles away here: N53.74310 W2.94196 . There is a water on the end of the building behind the free Air/Water machine.
