The stat has opened and hose hot, just topped up a small amount of coolant the day after coolant change Mike I am not saying that anybody should go out and spend money on bleeding equipment, I am confident to bleed the system without the pump, but when it was offered free of charge to use, I was curious to give it a try It worked for me, speeded up the process on a very wet day Mechanic friend who loaned it says he uses on all types of vehicles that need to be bled. I agree that it is satisfying to do jobs for yourself, I check the level of coolant on a very regular basis - so too with the hoses etc.

Thanks Pete. If I can get my hands on some equipment I'd like to try it when the time comes. Anything for an easy life really

I'm convinced...well done...will try my "bike valve" method when next due.
