I think you have misunderstood. There are no hook-ups left at all. If you want a "standard" non-electric pitch, then you must book through us here at Bongo Towers

I don't think we will bemaking this one as hopefuly we will be converting at roughly that time. I don't think hubby wants to go aain in the cold and junior definitely can't come without hookup. Roll on the hot weather.
Bongo and Tonic

Post by Bongo and Tonic » Sat Jan 05, 2008 3:20 pm

I can elaborate on a few. Bongo & Tonic and Bosun were at Dent last year.

Steve Loughlin (Lincs) - Steve and Lynne - Bosun
Richard Bowden (Norwich) -Rick and Linda - Bongo & Tonic
Nicky Betts * (Boston) Sat night only. Nick & Bev, in process of getting onto forum

We just did New Year's Eve at Hanworth, it was great waking up in the bongo on 1 Jan, cooking the bacon butties outside.

Look forward to Cartmel.

As we have quite a way to travel does anyone know of any other sites close by to Cartmel where we can stay the night before - come on Harry you must know somewhere, we did make you a cuppa tea and bacon butties when you visited us at Burnham Deepdale... :D

Bongo & Tonic

Ahh the bacon butty people!!!! Never to be forgotten.

There are a few sites within a mile or so of Cartmel.
Should be no problem
Do you want a hookup?
Let me know and I'll make some enquiries locally.

There is also an 'unofficial' pay & display car park in Grange with public toilets...great for a bit of discreet wild camping..no awnings though...often used by campervans. Good restraunts available in town 200 yards away.

Gibraltar Farm is good but about 40 min drive away from Cartmel and a bit off route.

cheers

Ian,i didnt misunderstand,i realised there were no hook-ups left and was
wondering if,as there were none left,i could just book via this post,or did i still need to ring the site direct, but no matter anyway ,as i got into work this morning and its all changed again, cant get time off and cant go,

Brian...and anyone else who wants a non hookup.

Please do NOT waste your time trying to book direct with Cartmel Racecourse...they won't accept bookings and it is not a public caravan/camping site. Bongo Fury (the member's section) has an exclusive private booking for the racecourse for the weekend.

1. You must be a club member (not just a forum member) to book a place...this is for insurance purposes as much as anything...we know where you live!!!

2. There are unlimited non hookups available but you need to pre book with Ian at Bongo Towers.

3. Day visitors will be welcome but should idaelly park in the public car park on the racecourse and about 100 yards from campsite and pay the parking fee (honesty box).

4. There will be a Jacobs Join supper running from around 6.30/7.00pm in the NWest Marquee. No worries about eating before you arrive or cooking on site on friday evening. Just bring a contributuion of food and/or drink and get stuck in. All welcome whether you are staying on site or just visiting.

cheers

Haven't committed to booking yet TW - it depends on weather forecasts etc (if a stonker, I may want to go down to my gliding club as I love catching the first thermals of spring). But we are probably coming (son William is busting to get to a Bongo meet again).

Now, are you bringing YOUR guitar so we can each play one. You lead, I follow as I'm not good at the solo enertaining thing and you are MUCH better (be there or be square folks!)
