Hi Steve,
I got fed up with the slow crawl along the A55 and decided to cut across country to Mold. A good choice it was a plesant drive after that long crawl.
How did you make out? Wheelqwick did me proud, no overheating but I did get a bit of a fright at first. My temp gauge creeped up to 2 O'clock but no alarms went off. Just when I thought the needle was going to go all the way round the fan kicked in and the needle dropped back to 12 O'clock where it stayed for the rest of my time in that awful traffic jam.
My friend in Mold says that the A55 is a horrible road with too many big lorries on it and at least one crash a week. About the holdup I believe that the gas leak was a side affect of the work that is being done to repair a broken bridge. Christine told me that a lorry crashed into the bridge two years ago but they have only just got arround to repairing the damage. The work is being done at night and during the weekends.

Good to meet up with other Bongo owners and able to put faces to online names.
I think I am slowly convincing Paddy to buy his own Bongo. His missus was dissapointed I got him home early yetserday. Debbie Pritch and hubby will understand her plight!!
By the way we took scenic route south yesterday via Harlech and Barmouth. Coffe, sea front, blue skies, and I always thought it rained in wales?
Thanks Mr. and Mrs Munkey.
Hope to meet up with all soon. I will hae a new back box on the exhust by then too, I hope, as I left the old one in Bala on the way up on Friday!!

Kirsty,
Thanks for advice re the exhaust. Decided to go with new rear box. Jap tech Plymouth, £60, better than locally quoted at £155 me thinks.

Finally got back home at around 4pm yesterday after spending Sunday night at the Red Lion in Eaton. Got hammered by the locals at pool and then ended up drinking with two of them in my bongo after we were thrown out of the pub at closing time.
