Bought one from that ebay link (£45 + £2.99 p&p) and fitted today together with a wired remote RM-X4S (from a local guy £10) on the steering column. I have a Sony CDX-GT300S radio/CD.

Plugged in and all worked. Ipod now hidden in the glovebox, rather than in a Belkin cupholder mount and no longer connected to the aux-in on th fron of the radio/CD. Whole lot including Ipod, now works from steering column control, showing track names etc. Brilliant.

Good Evening
New member here, drawn into this strange subversive world by the talk of this amazing Sony unit.
For two years I have been looking for a Bongo, and finally three weeks ago I bought one. Before I took delivery I had already bought this from Amazon (before reading this post) because of the USB and Aux conns. I fitted it today with a connection from a local parts dealer (£7.99) and can not believe how amazing it is. I bought a 1MB usb from Amazon and downloaded some songs tonight. It plays them superbly, and displays the track title. I hope that the Aux will let me connect the kids DVD player.

Just getting into the 'van', its not easy at first is it.

Just re-read my first post.
Getting into the 'van' means it is different to everything else I have driven, not that I am too big/small/weak to actually get into it.
As I said I have been looking for a while, and have got to know how careful you have to be with your wording on this forum.

Welcome JVC and hope you are enjoying the Bongo as much as the sound system.

Thanks Mike. If I get half as much out of it as you do, I think I will be very pleased. Keep up the good work!

Back to topic.
The usb is excellent, no need to carry anything other than a small key fob for lots of music. The aux connection is also a bonus, I fixed the kids dvd in last weekend and watched half of Pirates of the Caribbean before the wife caught me slacking on the weekend chores. The sound through the four speakers was really good. The comfortable seats and footrests were even better.
Slight downside though... my daughter can now link her mobile phone into the unit and play me the latest tune from 'My Chemical Romance' that she has just had 'Bluetoothed'. I have no idea what this means but it is amazing to someone who had a hand-me-down 8 track in their first car.
