Nufbus still going strong, lots of trips to Normandy and The Wirral.

English awning

French awning - You can't get the wood you know!
We've done a few miles now but still going strong. Having done quite a bit of camping now, we're getting used to life with the Bong and awning, and feel pretty comfortable where ever we go.

Bongo lunch.
Happy Bongoing to you all.

A few pics of Nufbus in new configuration.
Happy New Year to Everyone!!!!
I am looking for a grey plastic seat tray(small one) to fit onto my recently converted split middle seat.
The new seat fits at the back at the moment and as well as 2 extra seats it makes a full size bed. Haven't lost any room as the it only replaces the mattress boxes that came with the conversion.
Just made the 'Bong' into a 6 seater, with help from my mate and his welding gear, as it seems that the grand-children are to become more regular passengers.
set-up for passengers minus one seat tray. Anybody got one spare?
folded for camping(takes up the same room as the bed-blocks)
same amount of room for eating etc
Regret no photos of destruction/construction, too much rain and snow at the time. Bad for my camera!
Hope you are all enjoying your Bongos as much as we are.
Happy New Year!

Just moved the seats round in the Nufbus so that the split seat is in the middle. This makes it easier to get in and out of the van and that is where it should be anyway.
Just need another small seat-back tray and all will be well.
All the joys of Bongoing!!

That do look good, almost tempting me to think about a side conversion if it can still be that flexible

Hi Kirsty,
We do like the flexibility of the AVA side conversion, we always seem to have so much room in so small a camper.
The new seat takes up only the room that the bed-boxes took and it is much more adaptable and, of course, we can still sit 4 people round the table; providing that Sue sits behind the drivers seat!
The other good thing is that the seats are on the original runners enabling the seats to be used for dining, carrying passengers, stretching out, and as a double bed.

That's a very clever idea Pete & Sue. You could call it the 'Have Your Cake and Eat It' conversion

Hi Lee, just completed my first year of Bongoing and still going strong.
We will see you at the Southern Softies meet, got the last place!
Thanks for reminding me.

Ooh I can't wait to drool over your nufbus in the summer - I couldn't stop myself at Silverdale and I am going to be even more jealous now.
By the way - what type of awning is that lovely frame one in your photos?
