Hi Walter
We have to return our son to York University that weekend, and we're just wondering whether to come across to your meet for the rest of the weekend. It's a hellish long way to York and then Wirral, but I really fancy it, and we are sort of up that way anyway. We are self sufficient in the Bongo,so wouldn't mind the lack of facilities. In fact toilets would be a luxury, and it will give us a chance to try out our new 12V shower.
Will decide and let you know.

Hi Mel n Adam

How did you get on at Decathlon looking out for inflatable mattresses? I've been trying to find them on t'internet but not much luck :(

Just won 25m of self-adhesive velcro on ebay for £5.70 (and £7.99 postage). Gotta be an absolute bargain, though what I'll do with it all remains to be seen. In fact I'm about to make a super-duper tailgate awning using a cut up groundsheet for the top and sides, clear PVC for the end (attached with velcro) and a clear PVC screen for the open tailgate opening so you have a see through draft excluder that allows you to use the Bongos lights to illuminate the awning interior should you need to 'visit' the awning in the night. Cunning huh

Mike

PS - my wife is thrilled at the prospect of the luxury suite I'm putting together for her - NOT!

Hi Everyone,

Interest in a Wirral get-to-gether is hotting up. It is heading for a mini Bongo Bash.

I am interested to know what is the earliest time on Friday 20th. April attenders would arrive, as I naturally want to be there first to greet them. I prefer it if arrivals can come after 2p.m. I do work, and Fridays are usually busy, I shall leave work at 1p.m.

Remember this is the Bongo Bash for me this year, so thank you all for your enthusiasm!

Best Wishes,

Walter.

Walter - I'll try and get there as soon as poss. but will probably be around 5.00pm on Saturday (if traffic behaves). Plan to leave late p.m. Saturday what with family commitments (=my birthday!) on Sunday. Is that OK?

Let us know what we should plan to bring by way of food and what you might prefer a £ contribution towards and buy centrally (you may not want to do a communal cook on Friday evening so I will plan accordingly if need be - this will be my first time, so be gentle with me   )

Looking forward to it.

Mike

Hi !

Earliest Friday arrival that I have been advised of so far is the evening, any-one coming earlier? I want to be sure that I am there to greet arrivals.

Regarding food, I suggest we all bring whatever we fancy to B-B-Q, I'm sure there will be offers to try some of the various cooked items. Don't forget your drinks! H's marquee could be a god-send for Saturday evening. Make sure you bring lanterns and torches. And any B-B-Q equipment!

Remember everyone is most welcome to come for as much time or as little as they can afford -just come!

A warm Wirral welcome awaits you.

Walter.
