Looking on eBay you can pick up a converted one for £4-5000 less and a non converted fresh import low mileage one for only circa £6K. Did he give the mpg for a 2.7 litre petrol!?

I think you still have not decided want you actually want from your van as the list you are considering is wide and varied all with differing options and prices.... get your budget sorted then a list of definite needs, then wants and the possibles from a van and then get on the Forum's that specialise in that flavour.

Thanks. I know what I want is something smallish and not fitted with loads of units. I would also like the front seats to be able to swivel round. When we go camping everything we need except for the tent can fit in 2 plastic boxes with lids so we don't need much more except a bed. I'd rather have the floor space. And we are still campers at heart and do a lot of outside living so dont need the comforts of a motor home type vehicle. I don't feel my choice of vans are dissimilar and the bongo/alphard/Regis are also similar. They are all at the cheaper end which suits our budget. I think I would be as happy with say the Vivaro as I would with the Regius but what I'm not sure about is what would be more reliable, fuel efficient and last me longer. This is why I'm swithering. At least I've narrowed it down to 6 if only the bongo had more floor space and swivel seats!

I have a flattened middle swivel seat fitted and for circa £500 you can have the two front seats that swivel inboard.

I've just had a look on the Jal Import site and they do passenger and driver seats as swivel and extra wide beds. It's actually getting very close to my ideal campervan any opinions on Jal Imports? I spoke with the guy today and he sounded a bit assertive!

Bought ours from Phil 11 years ago and still very happy.

He can be a little 'blunt', but I've never heard of him supplying a less than perfect vehicle.

Update. Not a Bongo is now
Could be a bongo. We are going on a road trip to view the New Dawn Conversion to see if that layout with both swivel seats would suit us better than the side conversion we had previously. I've really been doing my homework this time round - have been getting quotes for transit conversions and layouts too then we'll play the pros and cons game.

My journey of possabilitys did, as i suspected it would, take me back to a Bongo -Bongo spares took the old one for parts and had this one in, as well as a couple of others. The deciding factor between them was really the 4wd - and i dont do any city driving so so diesel version - nearly as old as mine was --but somehwat more solid - i even get to keep the passenger seat (keiths seat) from the old one -I have to say their customer service has been amazing and i will be picking up next week - (so excited) -
