Hoping someone could cast there eyes over this...
I've still not managed to get an ABS sensor.
Now there are apparently a few different versions. The Bongo Fury shop states:
There are slight variations in this product so you need to select the right one. This is determined by your chassis number which you will find inside the passenger door on the pillar. Here are the variations.
Type XB: SGEW up to 100221, SGLR up to 105939, SGLW up to 105135, SGL3 up to 102903, SGL5 up to 105692, SG5W up to 101822.
Type XC: SGEW 100222 to 100273, SGLR 105940 to 108443, SGLW 105136 to 106934, SGL3 102904 to 103687, SGL5 105693 to 107198, SG5W 101823 to 102186
Type XD: SGEW 100274 onwards, SGLR 108444 onwards, SGLW 106935 onwards, SGL3 103688 onwards, SGL5 o 107199 onwards, SG5W 102186 onwards
First off, does this really matter - what are the variations? will it just be a bracket or something like that, or is the sensor itself fundamentally different?
Second question...
After a bit of searching I came across the fact that the Mazda Millenia appears to use the same part number for the ABS sensor. It shows 43-701Z in the same way as the lush diagram posted earlier does.
https://www.jimellismazdaparts.com/imag ... T08681.jpg
Will that really be the same part?
On closer inspection it gives a full part number of:
TA014373XF or the same with (XE at the end)
The Lush diagram for the Bongo gives:
S09V4373XD
The first 4 characters are obviously different as is the last 2. As we can see from the Bongo Fury shop, the last 2 characters denote minor changes. What about the first 4 characters - does anyone know how the product codes are built up? I'm wondering if the 4373 is the actual sensor and the rest is the wire length / brackets etc. specific to each car??
The Mazda Millenia is the Mazda Xedos 9 - and there are some cheap sensors on ebay. One of which (for about £10) says it fits the following:
B25D4373XE
B25D4373XF
B25D4373XG
C1004373Y
Which doesn't match the above TA01 code but again matches the same format with the 4373 in the middle.
Another (for about £12) says it fits:
B25D4373XE
B25D4373XF
B25D4373XG
The above part number seems to be for a Mazda 323 and a Mazda Premacy as well.
A Mazda 6 has the following part number:
GJ6A4373XG
As I've looked further I've found that Kia/Hyundai seem to follow similar too. The i30/rio has a sensor which looks very similar to the bongo with the code:
0K31L4373XD
0K31L4373XE
Interestingly the above Kia one also lists a NIPPARTS Number of J5000307 which I take it is Nippon just like the Bongo.
Does anyone have any further knowledge which would support any of these assumptions?!
I'm wondering if I can make anything up from another one to fit, most of these other ones are in the £10-£20 range which seems a lot more like it for how simple the part is!
