Finally got round to try and fit the willington kit today and it doesn't fit!

Image

Mine is a 2000 V6 petrol Automatic.

The clutch hole is the right size, but the side of the new kit clashes with the circular housing to the left.
I looked at just re-drilling the bolt positions, but then the cables are out of line with the existing main hole. I tried to bend the casing, but it is too-well made, couldn't budge it.

The only answer I'm left with is to drill a couple more holes in the bulkhead, but I thought I'd ask everyone's advise first, in case I've missed something obvious!

Oh- and it won't fit upside-down as the bulkhead has a return to the bottom right.

Looks like you have a Diesel version of the willinton kit.

IIRC, he did versions for V6 and Diesel models - I'd guess that the brake servo on the V6 and TD models are different, which makes sense.

Will it fit upside-down?

Well, at least it's nor just me being daft.
I've cut the end of the bracket off, bent the end up, - had a go, and failed at spot welding it back together, - pop riveted it back together.

Now if this rain ever stops, I'll have another go at fitting it.

Well, I've had the willinton kit fitted for about 14 months, and for quite a few months, it made quite a frequent clicking sound when idleing, I assumed it was switching between charging and not charging quite a bit, but now it has stopped charging altogether. Checked all the fuses, it's not them. Any suggestions as to what to try next?
