We've moved the Northern event this year to an even tougher location. Have you ever been to Cumbria in August? And I'm not talking about the chocolate box, Romantic Poets, Beatrix the Rabbit part of Cumbria either. We are talking Dent Dale where it rains 364 days a year. Don't even think about coming if you live south of the Trent.....

Is there still a space available? Can only do an overnighter on the Saturday, arriving early on the Saturday, if that's ok?

I camped in this field (or else another one incredibly like it on the same side of the road) back in 1989. We had a dry night but it had rained in the afternoon with a beautiful rainbow.

I can't remember whether it was on the campsite or in a tourist trap back down towards Kirkby Stephen but we came across a visitors book in which a a disgruntled teenager had written something along the lines of " You can keep your rainbows, I'd rather be in London".

Could be worse g8dhe !
Amberley Fields Caravan Club site in Charlwood Road, is about as close to the runway as you can park any motorhome, without being "airside". Defo need more than earplugs at that one.
