				We've got until November to have the kits in the car. I say just don't drink anything when driving, it causes so many problems in France, more than here.

				Looks like its been put back even further now;
http://www.connexionfrance.com/Breath-t ... ticle.html
DRIVERS have been given an extra four months' grace over the imposition of €11 fines for not carrying breath tests - and the law may even be scrapped.
A shortage of tests across the country has prompted the interior ministry to delay the start of the fines until March 1 and Interior Minister Manuel Valls said he wanted to use this interval to evaluate the usefulness of the law.

				Might be because there don't seem to be any in France.
Just spent a couple of weeks there again and couldn't find one in any of the supermarkets, service areas etc. Asked our neighbor there as well and they hadn't got one.
As usual the French will sign up to everything and then ignore it. Arm waving and shrugging is the norm.

I couldn't find any in France neither when I was there a few weeks ago. Did find them in a Belgian supermarket, though

Never mind your two kits. What am I going to do with the 2 pallets I had delivered to us here at the Bongo Shop?

Set up a stall at Dover just outside the ferry terminal if I was you Ian. Or, sell them to Leclerc or Intermarche, they seem short of them.

				Just to make life interesting here is the current position
http://www.connexionfrance.com/news_art ... hp?id=4520
In brief....
France has finally dropped plans to fine motorists who do not have a breath test kit in their vehicles – but has left in place the law obliging them to carry the kits.
