Bongo Fury

As a new bongo owner (< 1 week) I just checked my tire pressures for the first time and they are Front 27 Rear 28, size 215/60 R16. This post implies around 40 is better but I can't find reference to tyre size, should I increase?

Being as 16" wheels/tyres are a non standard size, it's all a bit trial & error, check the maximum pressure for your tyres, but in general anything less than @35 is going to be unsafe & wear your tyres out prety quick.

Hi - I am also a new Bongo owner. My tyres on a 2WD diesel are Front 195/70 R15 97S & rear 215/65 R15 96H. The owners manual gives a pressure of 180kPa for front & 240kPa for rear which (I believe) when converted is 26psi & 35psi respectively. Are these generally the pressures used as other notes suggest much higher pressures ?

I'm sure i recall hearing from a good source that the original tyres fitted to the bongo as it left the factory were unique and specific to the bongo...Doesn't that render the tyre pressure plates (or book suggestions) redundant? (unless of course one can source a set of 15 year old ORIGINAL bongo tyres from Japan)

On 15"s i think i put around 40PSI in. 45PSI now i'm running 18"s.

If you look at the plate on a 5/6 year old bongo that should answer your question..

What tyre pressures do you run Rita?
I've tried using the pressures on the door plate, tyres wouldn't have lasted long TBH, looked really flat.

Yes... But the original poster announced himself as a new bongo owner...Not the owner of a new bongo...

I want to know where these 5 year old bongos are, didn't know any were produced as late as 2006.
