Anybody fancy the Chain Walk?
Starts virtually from the site.
Have to watch the tide though, look like high tide is around 6ish Saturday morning.

It's a shame Muz Jr isn't coming, he'd definitely be up for that, in preparation for
el camino del rey that he wants to do

I would persuade him to wait until el camino del rey has been restored, which I believe they plan to start this year.
As for the chain walk I'll pass as I get a bit of vertigo!

Just bring plenty of wine with you if you intend to go boozing with Paul, Diane serverly depleted his stock last weekend.

Our Bongo always has wine in it and I may even bring something to go with it!

If it is anything like Tower Ridge on Ben Nevis I'll bring my boots. But I ain't too fit these days, my last walk was up Scafell Pike in 2008 after the Tough Northern's Meet at Cartmel.

We were planning on doing the chain walk and carrying on a little further along the Fife Coastal path then catching a bus back to the site.

We'll be there, just booked direct with the site today as we weren't sure if we could make it, although it's only 30mins up the road and we've been there a few times with our grandaughter. She will be our excuse for keeping well clear of the Chain Walk - it's scarey! Elie is lovely though, a fine pub right by the beautiful beaches. And the Lady Tower, right on the shore. When the said lady wanted to go for a dip a bell was rung to warn the villagers to avert their gaze - wonder how well that worked?
Looking forward to seeing the massed ranks of Bongos. We're taking our second Quechua along to experiment with the extension options. And a nifty new arrangement with the passanger seat.....
See you all soon
Linda

High tide times are 15.48 Thursday 16.36 Friday and 17.24 Saturday. The recommended best time for attempting the chain walk is an hour after high tide.
On Sunday it is likely that we will be heading to St Andrews for a spot of Kite boarding before heading home.
